Couple Dance

In Germany, partner and couple dancing to Country Western style is not very widespread.

In partner dances, the pair start in the Sweetheart position and both follow defined choreographed steps. A well known example is Billy's Dance.

Couple dancing is based among other things, on the lead and follow principle. All danced rhythms of the Country Western dance sport may also be danced to by couples. The West Coast Swing is a couple dance that is becoming increasingly popular for pairs in Germany.

The West Coast Swing has its roots in the USA and from there spread all over the globe. Not only does dancing to swing music makes the West Coast Swing especially attractive, but also dancing to Pop and Disco hits. The West Coast Swing is suitable for all types of parties and occasions, making it a good and modern alternative to the well known classic styles of dancing.
